| PROBLEMS
FOR THE MAASAI PEOPLE |

 Recent
changes in their world challenge the Maasai in an unknown
way. Also AIDS is one of the diseases with a major impact
on the Maasai! |

| Due
to logging the soil dries out increasingly. Desertification
is also a problem. Another factor is the political change:
the local authorities want to utilize the soil for farming
and Maasai have hardly any rigths on land... |
