Elisabeth Merz is a trained practical nurse and worked in a large hospital in Germany as an assistant resident nurse. From 1994 until 1995 she worked as a nurse in a hospital in Western Tanzania, becoming acquainted with the African culture. Since December, 2009 Elisabeth has been active as a missionary in Malambo in the northern savanna. It is here that “Help for the Massai” maintains a school “Naserian English Medium Primary School” and other social and evangelistic projects. One of Elisabeth’s tasks is taking care of the sponsorships for the pupils in Malambo. Through her visits in the homes and bomas of the children she is able to gain insight into the lives of the Massai and see first- hand where help and assistance are needed. The new garden is a special delight to her and she wants to grow herbal plants and school the natives in their medicinal use.
